The law society will be releasing a new kite mark for conveyancers which will go live in January 2011.
Conveyancers can get the accreditation if they provide quality service and advice to there clients. This kite mark has been widely supported by the council of Mortgage lenders. The purpose of the new kite mark is to encourage conveyancers to be competent and increase customer service levels.
The accreditation scheme will be launched this week at the Society’s property section’s annual conference. The Law Society President Linda Lee said:
“The CQS will give homebuyers an instantly recognisable kitemark highlighting a firm’s professional excellence and their commitment to providing a high quality service. The accreditation will allow consumers to identify quality conveyancing practices in a crowded and sometimes confusing market.”

This scheme will be beneficial to the property market as it will help clients choose the right Conveyancing Solicitor with confidence. Unfortunately there are conveyancers that don’t maintain a high standard of service to clients. This can hold up transactions and chains when there are important completion dates to be met.
