People who think there house price will rise can invest in an ISA index-linked. Castle trusts have applied for something called HouSA. This means that you get paid a return when the price of your house rises.
This will be the first time people can invest into residential property without buying an actual property.
The Castle Trust will go off the Halifax house index, in some parts of the country property prices have not declined but for the most part of the country property prices have decreased by around 20% since the height of 2007.
Economists are predicting gloom for the UK housing market for the next few months. The demand for UK properties has risen and with the reduction of new-builds being completed this has shown an increase in property prices. So this new way of investing into an ISA has it’s own risks but could be extremely beneficial if it pays off.
